What happens to your body?

Neisseria meningitidis primarily attacks the spinal cord and brain. The symptoms at the half mark are stiff neck and severe headaches. When it is developed the symptoms are; nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to bright lights, confusion, rash or purple discoloration. The blood vessels become leaky and allow fluid, white blood cells, and other infection-fighting particles to enter the meninges and the brain. Your body tries to fight the bacteria but isn't able to. After you recover from this bacteria you can develop epilepsy.
